And a Merry Whatever-your-choice! It was a great year (we're still alive and kickin'!) and we even had some moisture to celebrate the year's end.

Rain in December? Very welcome in these parts. We often see very light snow in December (1/2" to 1-1/2") which never accumulates in our (relatively!) warm climate. But this year is so warm I guess we got the moisture from the produce section instead of frozen foods!
Mmm... moisture vs. rain? My paternal grandfather remarried after my grandmother died. His new wife was Margaret Smith. Margaret was the birth mother of 2 men who owned and operated the Smith Ranch near Buffalo, Wyoming. Decades ago I learned from them that, in a climate where rain is rare, sparse and highly prized, you don't get rain but instead you get moisture. It stuck and now the phrase is recorded for posterity right here on iwantsomecoffee.blogspot.com.
Snow birds are now fully entrenched for the winter season here in SKP Saguaro Co-op. There are also travelers stopping for the night in their RV if they are members of Escapees RV Club. Leaseholders that are out of the park can put their lot in the rental pool. Income generated from that occasional rental income is collected by the office and 50% is credited toward annual assessment fees; the balance is used by the park for operating expenses. No rent $$$ goes directly to the leaseholder.
Also, leaseholders are not allowed to rent their lot directly nor are we allowed to make our lot available to friends for personal use. All visitors are managed by the office. We are each of us leaseholders and don't own our lot, though the lease is a life-time lease. When a leaseholder leaves the park or dies, the lease is terminated and the lease cost is returned to the leaseholder or their estate.
Yeah, yeah- more than anyone wants to know!
