Blame it on the state of AZ...

... or not!

We had been warned that vehicle sales - truck, RV, passenger car - is nuts right now. Takes a long time and there's a lot of finger pointing going on: the dealer was slow getting paper work submitted; the state is short staffed; there are errors in the paper work; there is a rush on vehicle sales; bla-bla-blah. I had assumed the issue was the state not getting things processed but after a visit to our local MVD service location here in Benson (a private business with a contract from Arizona MVD) I'm not so sure.

It appears that Lazydays RV managed to transfer the title for our old Arctic Fox travel trailer to themselves immediately. So far, however, they have not gotten anything accomplished to get the title, registration & license plate for our Vegas RV into our hands.

A friend in Key West who is a 9-1-1 operator says law enforcement all over the country are aware that registrations are delayed- just go. Not so sure I want to do that. We think we will have to wait for that to happen before we leave the state since the police in say Wyoming don't really care that we haven't gotten our permanent plates & paper work from Arizona yet.

If we knew it was in transit we still couldn't rely on our mail forwarder to get it to us since license plates and registration certificates can't be forwarded.

I had called Lazydays RV in Tucson but of course the only person in the whole place who can answer the question is out today "... so please call back tomorrow". We'll see.

In the mean time the expiration date of our temporary registration is about to expire...
